The main tasks of the Ministry are:

Realization of social-economic politics of the Government of Nizhny Novgorod region in the sphere of development of enterprises and provision of consumers' goods and some types of services to the population of Nizhny Novgorod region;

Realization of the politics in the sphere of preserving and development of folk art handicrafts, development of tourism in Nizhny Novgorod region territory;

Assistance in creation and development of enterprising structures in priority directions of the social-economic development of Nizhny Novgorod region;

Assimilation and provision of realization of the system of measures as to support for local manufacturers of consumer goods, preserving and development of folk art handicrafts, development of tourism in Nizhny Novgorod region territory;

Assimilation of offers to eliminate legal, administrative, economic and organizational obstacles in creation and development of enterprising subjects; improving system and mechanics of finance-credit support of subject of small businesses;

Provision of effective usage of budget funds allocated to support development of small businesses, consumers' market and services in Nizhny Novgorod region;

Assistance in development of conscientious competition at the markets of goods and services at the territory of Nizhny Novgorod region, assimilation and provision of realization of measures' system as to support of the effective development of enterprising activities and conscientious competition in the sphere of consumers' market.
