"Russia: view from a side"

From the 28th till the 31st July Nizhny Novgorod region was visited by journalists of

"Capital TV channel" from Minsk, Belarus and of "LTV -7" channel from Riga, Latvia.

This visit of journalists to Nizhny Novgorod region was carried out within the framework of the project conducted by international TV academy "Russia: view from a side". A special advertising-information tour was arranged for the journalists in order to learn about tourist potential of the region, architecture, traditions and culture, the government of Nizhny Novgorod region, the ministry of support and development of small businesses, customers' market and services together with the administration of Nizhny Novgorod as well as with the administration of Gorodetsky, Diveevsky districts and of Arzamas.

Cameramen and journalists filmed places of interest of Nizhny Novgorod, visited the 5th festival "Brotherhood of Folk Craftsmen" in Gorodets, visited Saint-Trinity Serafimo-Diveyevsky Monastery, saint streams in Diveevo, walked across the streets of Arzamas, filmed Resurrection Cathedral and newly decorated and reborn churches of Arzamas.

The guests thanked organizers for hospitality and promised to share their opinions about Nizhny Novgorod region based on the tour. To sum up the results of the journalists' visit it is planned to show several films about Nizhny Novgorod region on "Capital channel" of Belarus, morning channel "LTV-7" of Latvia and on radio in Riga.
